Inspiration On 11/29/11

At a certain moment in Nietzsche's life, the idea came to him of
what he called 'the love of your fate.' Whatever your fate is,
whatever the heck happens, you say, "This is what I need." It
may look like a wreck, but go at it as though it were an
opportunity, a challenge. 

If you bring love to that moment - not discouragement - you
will find the strength is there. Any disaster that you can
survive is an improvement in your character, your stature,
and your life. What a privilege! This is when the spontaneity
of your own nature will have a chance to flow. Then, when
looking back at your life, you will see that the moments
which seemed to be great failures followed by wreckage
were the incidents that shaped the life you have now. You’ll
see that this is really true. 

Nothing can happen to you that is not positive. Even though
it looks and feels at the moment like a negative crisis, it is not.

I'd rather see a sermon
than hear one any day;
I'd rather one should walk with me
than merely tell the way.

The eye's a better pupil
and more willing than the ear,
Fine counsel is confusing,
but example's always clear.

are the men who live their creeds,
For to see good put in action
is what everybody needs.

And the lecture you deliver
may be very wise and true,
But I'd rather get my lessons
by observing what you do.

For the joy of helping others when I see people in need...

For the earthly evidences of Your will...

For the fun that refreshes when everything gets too serious...

Every day in the world around us,
real-life angels are doing things they do....
and bringing more smiles to the world around them.

Real-life angels build bridges instead of walls
They don't play hide-and-seek with the truth,
they do whatever they can to help you.

Real-life angels understand difficulties
and always give the benefit of the doubt.
They don't hold others up to the standards
they can't live by themselves.

Real-life angels are what "inner beauty" is all about.
Real-life angels don't hold things against you,
the only thing they hold....is you.

They take your hand in theirs
when you could use a little reassurance.
They walk beside you when you could do with
a little guidance and direction in your life.
And they support you in your attempts,
to do what is right.

Real-life angels multiply your smiles
and add to your integrity.
They make you feel like,
"Hey, I really am somebody who matters."
Then they quietly prove to you how beautiful
and true that feeling really is.

If you come across an angel like this,
you are one of the luckiest people of all.

If someone in your life
is wonderfully like an angel to you,
it's important to let them know.
It's the nicest compliment you could ever give,
in all the days of your life
and in all the years that you live.

 . . . I try to share all the things I have learned these past 27 years:
that God loves us more than we could ever dream, that we can love
each other as well, and that when we do so we will have JOY no
matter what struggles we may face or losses we may endure. 

Take some time today then to think about what you can give to life.
You are a beloved Child of God with unique talents, knowledge, and
blessings. You can give this world so much love and do so much to
help others. You can make this world and your soul a little better
each day.

And when you do so you will get what we all truly want out of life:
sweet happiness.

Inspiration On 11/14/11

 

There are so many stresses we face in our lives. We have the
concern of finances, family, children, parents, cars breaking
down, job security, world affairs, etc.

Do you realize that you are among the wealthiest in the world?
It does not seem like you are wealthy when we continue to
read about the Trumps, Gates, and so many other billionaires
to whom we are constantly exposed. However, taken the entire
world population and wealth, Americans on the whole live at a
higher level of comfort, convenience and provision than the
rest of the nearly 7 billion people on this planet.

Today I am thanking God for my heritage – the place, time
and country in which I was born. I am among the wealthiest
best provided for in all of history. I am praising God today
for my fortune.

Dear Lord,
Today we honor our veterans,
worthy men and women
who gave their best
when they were called upon
to serve and protect their country.

We pray that you will bless them, Lord,
for their unselfish service
in the continual struggle
to preserve our freedoms, our safety,
and our country’s heritage, for all of us.

Bless them abundantly
for the hardships they faced,
for the sacrifices they made
for their many different contributions
to America’s victories
over tyranny and oppression.

We respect them, we thank them,
we honor them, we are proud of them,
and we pray that you will watch over
these special people
and bless them with peace and happiness.
