that you want, the prosperity that you want or the career
that you want...you will either

conform,
be content,
learn to cope,
commit to change or
create what you really want.

Inspiration On 1/27/12

An Oldie, But Goodie:  A Native American elder once described his
own inner struggles in this manner: "Inside of me there two dogs.
One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean
dog fights the good dog all the time." When asked which dog wins,
he reflected for a moment and replied, "The one I feed the most."

Inspiration On 1/24/12

An ancient parable tells that the Lord God, who created the
earth, did not want to give happiness to women and men directly,
but rather hide it from them so that they could search for it. So
the Lord called a council of the good spirits and asked where
happiness could be hidden.

One spirit suggested that the bottom of the sea would be a good
place as people would not be able to reach it. But Lord did not
think it a suitable place as they could dive down and find it.

Another suggested that it be hidden in the deepest mine. But
again the Lord said they would soon discover it.

Finally the idea came that it be hidden in the depths of men's
and women's hearts, because they would look for happiness
everywhere except within themselves...

Have you been searching for peace and contentment?

Happiness is, after all, an inside job.

When you are poked or prodded or pinched
or squeezed, what comes out of you?

Does anger come flying out in a torrent of words?
Anxiety dampen your skin with a fearful sweat?
Uncertainty make you apologize for your opinion?

A breakdown of communication between your
mind and heart and soul will leave you unsure
of how you truly feel or why your feelings make
you uncomfortable.

The surest indication of internal separation is
the injurious way you respond to the world. The
surest indication of internal wholeness is the
unflustered, calm and caring way you react in
the face of crisis.

What's inside of you, is what comes out of you.

Inspiration On 1/11/12

There is a period of life where we swallow a knowledge of ourselves and it
becomes either good or sour inside.

For too many of us, feelings of shame, even self-hatred, are paramount.
No one of us has a fully untarnished past. Every man, every woman, even
every child experiences regret over some action. We are not perfect.
Perfection is not expected in the Divine plan. But we are expected to
take our experiences and grow from them, to move beyond the shame
of them, to celebrate what they have taught us.

Each day offers us a fresh start at assimilating all that we have been.
What has gone before enriches who we are now, and through the many
experiences we have survived, we have been prepared to help others, to
smooth the way for another, perhaps, who is searching for a new direction.

We can let go of our shame and know instead that it sweetens the nuggets
of the wisdom we can offer to others. We are alike. We are not without
faults. Our trials help another to smoother sailing.

I will relish the joy at hand. I can share my wisdom.

Painful pasts can brighten someone's future, when openly shared.

People in your life have an influence on your behavior. They can distract,
discourage, tempt, doubt, criticize and give up on you. However, your
biggest stumbling block to success and happiness...is you. You can
discourage, doubt, criticize and give up on yourself too!

What were you thinking last night when you went to bed? What were
you thinking about when you woke up this morning? What are you thinking
about right now? Are you battering yourself or believing in yourself?

I used to blame others until I learned to start looking in the mirror to
see the person who is responsible for the quality of my life. Once I
changed my thinking, it changed the way I talked, lived and worked.
Changed thinking changed my income, relationships, faith and lifestyle.

The Bible teaches that we are what we think. Your dominant thought
today is your "train of thought" which determines your destiny. Your
"train of thought" will take you to whatever, whoever or wherever
you focus on. Just like a train, your thoughts can only go in one
direction at a time. You can't think thoughts of depression and faith at
the same time. You can't think of prosperity and poverty at the same
time. You can't think on solutions and doubt at the same time. You
can't think of stress and peace at the same time.

You are the conductor of your "train of thought." If you're trying to
get to success, love, peace, faith, wealth and health...get your
thoughts on the right track.

There are so many stresses we face in our lives. We have the
concern of finances, family, children, parents, cars breaking
down, job security, world affairs, etc.

Do you realize that you are among the wealthiest in the world?
It does not seem like you are wealthy when we continue to
read about the Trumps, Gates, and so many other billionaires
to whom we are constantly exposed. However, taken the entire
world population and wealth, Americans on the whole live at a
higher level of comfort, convenience and provision than the
rest of the nearly 7 billion people on this planet.

Today I am thanking God for my heritage – the place, time
and country in which I was born. I am among the wealthiest
best provided for in all of history. I am praising God today
for my fortune.

When God wants to bless you, He sends a person into your life.

When the devil wants to destroy you, he sends a person into
your life.

How can we tell the difference?  By knowing your people connections.
Your success can depend on the quality of people you are connected to.

There are two types of people you will come in contact with
throughout your lifetime:

1) those who add and multiply, making you more than you are;

2) and those who subtract and divide, thereby devaluing you.

Never allow people into your life without knowing their agenda.
Find out where they came from and why they want to be
connected to you.

When a person is in your life and it results in your life declining,
they are not a God connection.

A healthy connection will protect your self-worth even when
you are experiencing a season of pain or struggling with a
failure in your life.

A true God connection will never abandon their assignment until
you reach your full potential!
